I..I…I…I Miss CODING!!!

Yes those who may know me personally will look at the title and wonder what this world is coming to. Yet let me clarify, I miss web coding; as in websites not programming.

I’ve been slowly working on a redesign of the internal website for my work center and have found that I REALLY miss putting together a website from scratch. It’s daunting yes, it’s painful sometimes Yes, and it even gives me headaches and makes my eyes twitch sometimes YES, but I find it to be fulfilling. Don’t ask my why or how but I just do.

So with that said I’m redoing this place (sound familiar), no really. It’s going to take a lot of time since I have to learn how to use CSS, php and knock the rust of my html as well as spray a little lub on the old photoshop skills and knock the design gears in the old noggin back into working order but I have a vision. <!– Super long run on –> Heh a little coding humor since you guys can actually see the comment; anyway though I don’t think I will put up one of those “under construction” pages up but don’t be surprised if one comes up.

Feel free to stick around for the changes…mean while I’m going to do some reading…ALOT of reading.

Goodbye little buddy

I hadn’t posted this but not to long ago me and my wife adopted two little kittens. We gave them names: Kiki = the spastic female who loves to play and Calicifer = the most lovable little guy ever.

Last night though my wife had to make the hardest decision yet to come across her path and I’m proud of her for having the strength to do it cause I couldn’t have.

Calcifer ended up having some genetic complications which weren’t letting him grow and pass his food and water correctly as well as a defunct ticker that wasn’t pumping as hard as it should have been. One the bright side of things he also had nerve issues so he never felt any of the pain which was why the little guy was still able to run and play once and while and constantly purr. That was his favorite thing to do just sit or lay with you and cuddle and just purr all day as loud as his body would allow him. (continue reading…)

OoOops

So I updated some stuff on the backend….any changes made can’t be seen other than by me but….there are somethings missing on the front end. Always forget to follow that age old computer advice “BACKUP BACKUP BACKUP!” I’ll work on it soon I guess after I get some other things out of the way (CDC test hopefully this week).

hmmm What’s that —->

I decided to add something a little interactive. Not that I get many visitors but for the sake of my own humor and if anyone on Facebook or etc… wants to ask questions in anonymity it’s there. I have tons of links and stuff I want to put up but I also want to elaborate a little on it but….there are other things which need my attention that are closing in on the deadline.

Anyway if your reading and curious ask away.

A bit of collaboration

The web is all about connecting with people and sharing ideas. That is what it was made for even when it was in the hands of DARPA. Today I bring to you two forms of artistic collaboration.

Jam Session 2.0

This project was lead by Jonathan Park a.k.a. Dumbfounded. It involves “8 people with 5 instruments originally from 4 Continents speaking 3 languages for 1 song.”; and the result is a pretty deep song. Check it out:
